3 RBI`s, Record Hit, Pretty Decent Night.

Ok, I’ll set the stage for you. The New York Yankees regular starter, A. J. Burnett was on the shelf injured so he was substituted by Dustin Moseley. Moseley pitched the Yankees into a 7 – 2 win over the Boston Red Sox on the Sunday night baseball game. Unquestionably the tale of the game was Derek Jeter moving past the Bambino, Babe Ruth for the lead amongst the Yankees in hits. He did this while driving in 3 runs.

Lance Berkman didn’t hit Alex Rodriguez again, however he did hit two doubles to begin to woo the New York Yankee fans to his side. Teixeira had the limelight as well becoming only the fourth player ever to stroke no less than 25 homeruns in each of his first eight seasons.

Rodriguez missed Saturday`s win after he was struck in the left leg during batting practice with Berkman at the plate. It was May 8th when A-Rod last stole a base until Sunday night when apparently his leg bruise didn`t slow him down and he swiped yet another base. The stolen base gives him 300 career steals. Quite the week for A-Rod who earlier in the week hit his 600th homer against the Blue Jays.
