A new bodybuilder is more likely to injure himself through ignorance. Follow the coach or instructor or you might injure yourself and be put out of action for a long time. The correct way to use weights is to be slow and control the bar or dumbbell and not jerk and let go suddenly. Again do not despair if you cannot lift with the heavies, work your way up slowly. Follow the routine that has been set out for you and stick to it. Repetition is the key to building your muscles. The muscles need rest and grow and for the best results you should follow a weekly cycle i.e. work on one muscle group a day and let it rest for the rest of the week.
