These impractical diets make it very easy to fail at losing weight because they are based on unrealistic goals promising unrealistic and unsustainable loss in a short amount of time. 1. Lifestyle Change

For starters, know that you don’t ever need to go on a diet; you just need to make a few simple changes your lifestyle. The Majority of diet programs tout a, say, “one month” or “three month” diet program to lose say 20 pounds. But what happens after the three months? Most people end up going back to old unhealthy patterns of behaviour, and as a result gain 30 pounds and feel even more frustrated because the plan effectively failed. Instead, try and incorporate real lifestyle changes that you can stick to in the long term.

2. Set Realistic Goals

The second important thing is to set a realistic goal. If you are twenty lbs overweight, then you can realistically reach your goal in just over 2 months time. It is reasonable for you to plan on losing 2 pounds per week. You can pick an event that is three months down the line and say to your self I will look fantastic on that night!’. By doing so you will have a time frame that is practical and a goal to drive you to work towards attaining.

3. Treat Yourself

Remember to treat yourself. The clincher here is to choose something other than food as your reward. For instance, after you lose five pounds treat yourself to a massage or a facial so you and your body get rewarded for all the hard work. Once you lose your 20 pounds, reward yourself with a new dress that will make you look and feel fabulous in. Part of the difficulty with diets is that you will often feel deprived of your favorite foods and these are often the foods that aren’t very good for you. By deciding to treat yourself with something that makes you feel good about your body you can also eliminate one bad food habit.

4. Eat Healthy Foods That You Love

Now that you are beginning to take the step towards eliminating unhealthy foods, the fourth key to maintaining your dieting motivation is to focus on eating healthy foods that you love. Not all foods that you love are unhealthy. Pick out the meals that can support you in losing weight and that you also relish eating.

5. Make Your New Habits Permanent

Finally, and most importantly, these little changes will lead to significant weight loss – but only if you make them a habit. So, it is important that you proceed gently with these changes to ensure they become a lifestyle choice that you will maintain throughout your life; not just a “diet” that you are on temporarily. Start small and build, and your maintaining your motivation to lose weight – together with your weight loss success, will be virtually guaranteed.

3 Ways To Cure Panic Attacks With High Quality Sle

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

When you want to cure panic attacks, one of the best things you can do is improve the quality of sleep you’re having, and here are 3 good ways to achieve that.

The first way to get better sleep is to stop all negative thoughts while you’re in bed.

More worry and anxiety happens when you’re lying awake in bed than at any other time of the day. That’s pretty incredible when you consider it’s the place where we should be most relaxed!

You’ll probably find that this problem is at its worst at 3 specific times: when you’re lying awake immediately after you go to bed, in the middle of the night after you’ve woken up, and possibly in the morning too, when you’ve woken up but you haven’t got out of bed yet.

So what’s most critical in this situation is quickly stopping as much of your anxiety in the bedroom as possible, and the easiest area to solve this problem is with the worrying you do when you wake up in the morning. The solution? Get up imediately, as soon as you open your eyes.

This may sound like a very simplistic idea}, but it really does work and will stop a lot of your morning anxiety. Getting yourself up and out of bed so that your mind can’t find things to worry about will give you an excellent [start to your day.

Finding a solution for the occasions when you worry during the night after you’ve woken up is slightly harder, but there are still good options. To begin with, always get up out of bed if you’re lying awake for more than five minutes. If you stay there in bed, in the dark and the silence, it’s only going to make your anxiety get stronger.

Another good thing to do is to have a warm bath, or simply to splash your face with cool water. Or perhaps just wander around your home for a few minutes, possibly tidying a few things away. Then just go back to bed. This approach works because it recreates a totally natural way of going to bed.

So instead of lying awake for hours you get up for a bit, and then finally when you return to bed you treat it as if you’re going to bed for the first time. This is much more natural for your body to accept than it is to lie there for hours when you can’t sleep. It’s far more likely that you’ll get back to sleep doing this than simply lying there.

The second sleeping mistake to stop to help cure your panic attacks is to allow no more constantly-changing schedules.

If you’re suffering with a sleep problem for any reason, not just one that’s caused by anxiety and panic, then sticking to the same schedule every day is great advice.

Your personal inner clock will quickly reset itself to the natural and healthy default if you just start going to bed and getting up at similar times each day. This will also normalise things like hormone secretion, which often depends on your sleeping cycles.

Do you ever feel burnt out? In many cases, that will be because your adrenal glands are active at times when they shouldn’t be, and this is often caused by irregular sleeping cycles. If you can get your sleeping habits into a predictable routine, problems like this will often disappear all on their own.

So do your best to go to bed each night at the same time, and get up each morning at the same time too. When you start out doing this, you may go through a couple of tough days while you get back into the correct routine, but it will be worth it. And also beware of sleeping in late on weekends, or days when you don’t have to be up early. All your hard work can be undone with a couple of late lie-ins!

Right, now the 3rd and final way to get better sleep, and this one is all about stopping all stimulants in the lead up to bedtime.

A lot of the problems that you currently have with your sleep could be to do with what you do directly before you go to bed. Fast-paced TV, loud music, heavy reading, and playing video games are all really bad ideas in the last hour or two before you try to sleep.

So something you should try to do right now is to completely stop anything that stimulates you in the last hours before bed time. Make this a part of a new routine you stick to before bed, where you try to slow things down.

Consciously begin to ease back on everything for the last hour before you go to bed. Stroll around like you’re on vacation. If you like to have a bedtime drink of some kind then sip it outside if it’s a nice night and enjoy the fresh air. If it’s too cold outside, curl up on the couch and relax for 20 minutes while you enjoy your drink.

I know that what I’m saying here sounds like it’s too obvious to work, but I can assure that this does work. And can you honestly say that you give yourself quality time like this?

If you’re someone who enjoy hot baths, then take one an hour before you go to bed. A warm bath always helps to ease your body into just the right state for deep and relaxed sleep. Incorporate this warm bath with the bedtime drink and use these new habits to construct your own slow-down hour before bed, and see the wonders it can work on your sleep, and your panic attacks.

Issues Between Husband and Wife Resolved

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

My husband often complained about my lack of response when it comes to sex. I told my friend this matter and gave me a website, which according to her will resolve the issue between me and my husband. When I arrived home, I immediately accessed the internet and searched on the website she wrote in a piece of paper. That was when I learned that she’s referring to pheromone reviews. I heard a lot of things about pheromones, but I haven’t tried on using one yet. Apparently, the reviews I read are kind of encouraging, too. I was thinking why shouldn’t I try it for myself?

How To Stop Panic Attacks In 3 Simple Steps

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

Everybody knows it can be very tricky to stop a panic attack, but the great news is there are 3 simple tricks you can use that really do work.

#1. The Paper Bag Trick:

Have paper bags with you all the time, or strategically placed around your house. Alternate your breathing 30 seconds breathing into the bag, 30 seconds breathing normally. Do this during an attack, or if you feel an attack is on its way.

The image of someone with anxiety disorder sucking in air from a paper bag has become a bit of a clich , but it’s a proven method to stop panic attacks, and that’s exactly what we want.

#2. Don’t Suffer In Silence:

Next time you have a panic attack, turn on your radio or television, and make sure the sound is up pretty high. You might also wnat to try listening to music via earphones or headphones.

When you’re having a panic attack it’s very easy to feel like you’re losing control (and losing your mind!). In a silent room this sensation is magnified many times. Sounds in the room will help to “ground” you in reality and stop that sickening feeling of losing touch with the world.

And if you happen to experience depersonalization as part of your anxiety you’ll notice that this tip helps to reduce that too, which is a great bonus.

The third tip I’d like to share with you is all about self-assurance.

Back when my own anxiety disorders was ruining my life, I made a huge mistake, and that was trying to rerassure myself in my head whenever I had a panic attack. What I should have been doing, and what you should do, is start reassuring yourself aloud. Hearing your own voice aloud has a very different effect on you, and it can be very potent in stopping attacks.

Thoughts that stay completely in your head rarely help in reducing anxiety or panic attacks. And in some cases, internal thoughts can even make your anxiety worse.

But the thoughts that I said out loud worked wonders and I found that they were much more likely to fight off a panic attack.

So tell yourself, out loud and firmly, that you’re okay, you’ve experienced this before, you know what it is, and you know it will pass and leave you safe and well.

***Bonus Advanced Tip***

Following all future panic attacks, take a few moments to write down what happened during the attack: how you felt, what thoughts you experienced, etc. If you don’t like the idea of writing this down, why not do exactly the same thing but on a voice recorder instead?

Once you’ve written or spoke about your attacks a few times you’ll see that your anxiety has very specific patterns, and all progress the same way.

So in the future when you’re having an attack, you can have your notes or voice recording with you and see or hear where your thoughts are going before they ever happen.

This can almost single-handedly stop panic attacks because knowing in advance where your panic and anxiety are going takes all the terrifying unknowns away.

With your notes by your side, or your voice recording playing, you take the frightening unknowns away from your panic attacks, and that takes away a lot of their power too.

The method of writing or recording “panic notes” like this is one of the most powerful I’ve ever found, and I hope you’ll try it, along with the other tips I’ve shared with you.

Beginners Can Find Suitable Lessons

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

Have you ever searched for piano lessons for beginners but found that they were often too complicated and dense to make learning the piano fun? Often, the first piano textbook contains very basic chords, hand placement guides and an introduction to reading music, but the intro textbooks lack an aura of excitement and fun. Internet based piano lessons, however, provide videos and songs that are popular, contemporary, and easy to implement. Rather than start by trying to master the classics, why not start by learning something fun like the theme to the blockbuster hit movie “Titanic”? These songs are completely playable by beginners, and all you need is some basic instruction to make it happen.

Relationship Self Help – Part 1

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

Relationships are supposed to be able to bring out the best in us but many times it is the root for needing self help advice. Most self esteem issues are directly tied to relationships we are in. It doesn’t matter if you are dating or in a marriage or just in love, it can either make us feel better or worse about ourselves. We strive to find the one who will love us and make us feel like we are on top of the world, unfortunately that doesn’t always happen.

One thing that many will try to do is find out if the reason for your difficulties in your relationships is because of the problems between the two of you or is it because of problems that originated early on in either your life or the other persons life. It can be exhausting trying to find the original root of the matter but one thing is obvious, you have problems now.

The Incomplete Life regarding Joseph Archibald

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

A tiny bit further with regards to Joseph Archibald search engine optimization because I know you seem to be in dire need to learn.

I have not necessarily excelled at practically whatever I have undertaken throughout life. Nothing at all “sat” with me perfectly. Especially when I was a younger child I used to want to drop out of stuff that just about all the other kids had been associated with. Just as the Boys Brigade, that is comparable to the Scouts. And also, I once played in a brass band while I was ten years old, that I honestly disliked.

The point is though, it ended up being my own father and mother who made me to proceed with this kind of fun-filled activities. And to be frank I loathed all of them with a vengeance! Had taken them – my mom and dad – rather long enough to be able to appreciate it.

All through my own career from the years of 17 onwards, little or nothing of which I did actually seemed right. I really did not ‘blend’, nor would I enjoy any work opportunities.

The most pleasurable phase of my personal existence was the time when I proceeded to go to university. I had before hand concluded a Diploma and also a Higher Diploma, though this was back at the outset of the 1990’s. Oh, so very long in the past!
