Where do I buy electronics parts?

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Where can I buy parts like accelerometers, LEDS, transistors, capacitors, resistors, buttons, etc. I used to scavenge out of old toys but I’ve run out. Help. BTW, i live in toronto.

If you like to scavenge, check out Goodwill or other thrift stores for cheap electronics of any kind. Otherwise, the sites below are good sources of electronic parts. I’ve use all of them with good results.

Electronics – where can I buy electronics parts (as in the science!) to ship to the UK?

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

I live in the UK and am starting out in electronics, and am looking for an online retailer that will sell me compenents to mess around with LEDs resisters etc. What ones are out there?

No America based ones preferably – its takes forever to ship accross the pond :) thanks.

When I was an undergrad the electrical workshop would order components we needed from radionics.

Now I don’t now exactly where the company is, but considering that I went to an Irish university, I think it would be reasonable to assume they are either an Irish or UK company.
